I would like some advice for the chances of getting accepted with the following stats:
I submitted my primary application 7/17/13. Still waiting for it to be verified since the amcas is taking 8 weeks now instead of 4-6 weeks.
All transcripts submitted in June
Home University: UW-Madison
34 MCAT (13P/9V/12B)
3.77 cGPA, 3.86 sGPA
CNA but no work experience (only training, including 1 week of clinical training)
45hr shadowing 2 MDs
200+ hr hospital volunteering
couple thousand hours of research time (three different labs)
1 pub + an upcoming one soon
2 scientific conferences (a poster presentation and a talk)
$4000 competitive research scholarship from home university
a few deans lists
Summer research experience at U of Cambridge UK
Great LORs (1 from MD I shadowed, two research mentors, an instructor)
I am self-conscious about the time of my amcas submission. I am afraid that it is too late.
I am a Wisconsin resident and my top choice of school is UW-Madison. I would like to ask for some advice on what are some other schools that could be "safety" schools with my stats.
Thanks for your time
