I'm lookin for a little info on postbacc programs in general... How long do they take to complete? Could one still apply to begin in the fall? and if not, can you apply and begin in the middle of the year? I'm sorry if these are simple questions but i'm doing a little research for a friend and I have no idea how this works..
thanks in advance for any responses!

You might want to check this out: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=114425

Here was a thread also asking which program deadlines haven't passed yet:

The length of the program depends on how many pre-med courses you've already taken and how many pre-med courses you want to re-take. They all take at least 1 year and some up to 2. It also depends if you will be a full time or part time student. What courses are you looking to take?

If you've never taken any of the prereq sciences, and we are talking about a formal postbac, the fastest I've realistically heard it done is an academic year and one or two summers, and, assuming the latter, take the August MCAT. And then attend a year later (a so called "glide" year). Most of the formal programs suggest 2 years, I think.
