for the acceptance numbers posted, are they initial acceptances or total acceptances to fill the class?

Total acceptances to fill the class.
 
Actually, it's listed as "New Entrants," so wouldn't that mean the the number accepted is higher? The yield is lower than the actual number accepted.

Ooops my bad. Its entrants. However if you look on US news under the stats, when they say acceptances its total to fill the class... I don't even bother with the MSAR anymore.
 
yea the msar just tells you how many spots each school has.

they usually accept 1.5 to 2 times as many spots overall (all the way through the summer). i guess you should check usnews.
