What's the current treatment for ADD w/o hyperactivity and impulsivity? Do most prescribers still use meds? I work as a tech in a pharmacy and it seems that most diagnoses written with stimulant meds or Strattera are ADHD but occasionally will see ADD. Do psychiatrists recognized (Central) Auditory Processing Disorders and if so do they believe they are nearly synonymous with ADD?

CAPD is not the same thing as ADD.. but many times is a comorbidity.
You probably mostly see ADHD cause ADHD and ADD are for the most part interchangable...

The treatment for ADD ranges from behavior modification to stimulant medication, strattera, etc.. same as for ADHD.

Technically, that's true.

Code 314.00: Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Predominantly Inattentive Type.

The research agenda for DSM-V will have more substantiated data to fetter out the comorbidities of these diseases.
