Hi yall, what is everybody's opinions on simply applying this cycle to get my name out there to schools I am interested in when I have weak application? I've talked with faculty and residents at my school, and they suggested I simply try but is it even worth spending the money knowing I have little to no chance of acceptance? I've been working on my personal statement and I have the necessary letters of recommendations but I know myself that as a fresh out of school dentist with the low endo experience my chances of even an interview seem slim.

Probably won’t get in straight out of school without a top tier GPA/rank, so I would probably focus on a good GPR to start with. From there see if you’re still actually interested and work a few years while you apply. Still work on networking, go to AAEs, etc. to get your name out.
