I am from Alberta Canada. Double major in Biology and Chemistry
GPA:
1st year: 1.9 (24 credits)
2nd year: 1.5 (15 credits)
3rd year: 3.6 (18 credits)
4th year: 3.3 (27 credits)
5th year: first semester I had a 3.5 and am doing well so far this semester so I am guessing I will finish off with around a 3.5-3.6 again (30 credits this year)
As you can tell I didn't really get my act together until my 3rd year
I might even end up doing a 6th year instead of summer school because I don't have enough credits for my double major, and it might give me another chance to increase my GPA.
I have all the regular EC's (hospital work, volunteering abroad, volunteering with sick children, etc.) I was also a member of 2 varsity athletic teams in university (soccer in fall and track in winter) and have done some research work. Also work part time during school.
MCAT
34
I know I don't stand a chance getting into any Canadian schools but what about any DO or Irish medical schools? Should I Go to grad school and and then apply? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
