Hey, can someone give advice based on their own experience?

I know I definitely don’t want to do retails. I prefer a hospital environment more.

Also, how does the residency experience weigh in the long term career development?

I have some experience working with big Pharma. They hire MD or pharmacists in the clinical department to supervise/coordinate clinical trials. Also, some pharmacist positions at FDA involve in evaluating drug proposal submitted by pharmaceutical companies. I am kinda interested in this type of work. Will the residency or specialist pharmacist experience help? (I know these are not for entry level for sure)

On the other hand, how is the work load for a residency/specialist pharmacist compared with a retail one? I was scared by reading a thread on a 20-hour work as a residency. As a mother of two, I enjoy spending time with my boys. If that is the case, I would rather go for an easy job.

I don't have personal experience yet, but I can understand your concern about residency since I have a family too. I guess my take on it is that the "easy" job isn't always the best or what's easiest in the end, if that makes any sense. :luck:
