AMA coming out of the woodwork with healthcare reform... What do you think?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
We had a presentation about this at school. It makes sense. Basically they want to have it so that people have basic coverage that follows them throughout their lifetime. So between jobs they are covered by some basic minimum insurance coverage. Obviously the coverage is minimal, but employer based insurance should still be around to provide the middle class with some of the nicer bells and whistles. I personally think it is a good idea and I'm glad that the AMA has stepped up to the plate with this. Unfortunately the current financial crisis is going to put real health care reform on the backburner for a while.
