1. superior saggital sinus to transverse sinus. from confluence of the sinus to the sigmoid sinus. from here to the ijv.

2. superior or inferior ophtahlmic vein.

what are the options?

i think for number 1 -- it should be spinal section at C2 because C3 4 5 - innervate diaphragm!
2 should be a
3 - dont know cuz havent done dental anatomy yet
4 - genioglossus

for 2, anwser is 2
The cartilage model would grow in length by continuous cell division of chondrocytes, which is accompanied by further secretion of extracellular matrix. This is called interstitial growth in endochondral ossification

for Q 3,ans is a, max second premolar.
the total M-D dimension od mand second is 7 and F-L is 8 .
for max seond, M-D is 7 and F-L is 9
eventhough both has more F-L dimension, thanM-D, i think max second has more difference.
this is as per wheelers
correct me if its wrong
thanks

hi guys, what should be the answer for this question?

1)the inability to move diaphram because of complete spinal section at-
a)c2
b)c6
c)c7
d)c8

its so confusing since C3,C4,C5 innervate diaphragm....and those are not the options!

d)arteriolar pressure
e)tissue colloid osmotic pressure.

2)which of the following agents is not likely to be found in plasma?
a)thrombin
b)fibrinogen
c)prothrombin
d)calcium ions
e)ascorbic acid

ans for 2-a or c??

hi,
prothrombin is present in plasma but i doubt in thrombin and ascorbic acid so if anyone know the answer please post .

hi,
prothrombin is present in plasma but i doubt in thrombin and ascorbic acid so if anyone know the answer please post .
thank you.

Thrombin is not normally present in blood plasma as it requires conversion of prothrombin to thrombin.

[COLOR="Green"]the answer to this is C2 ..now as you said that it transmit innervation thro C3,C4,C5 .. suppose there complete spinal sectioning at C2 then the impulses or innervativation cannot be transfered from C3,4,5 so which will in turn paralyze the diaphragm .. suppose it is sectioned at C6,7,8 then the innervation is traveling till C3,4,5..so it won't paralyze the diaphragm..

[the answer for this question is thrombin is most unlikely to present in plasma under normal condition ..now as we read the coagulation cascade it is given that prothrombin gets converted into thrombin but only in presence of certain coagulation factor and during injury.. so if thrombin was converted from prothrombin then it would have converted fibrinogen to fibrin , then we would have found lot of coagulated blood ( clots in our body) .. so this convertion of prothrombin to thrombin is only in the presence of injury, thus thrombin is most unlikely to found in plasma under normal conditions..

answer of 1) migt be chemiclave .
2)maxillary and superficial temporal artery are terminal branch ans superior thyroid is first branch of ecc so in my logic
superior=superficial temporal artery
inferior = superior thyriod artery
correct if i am wrong
thanks.

fastest way of sterlization-autoclave.
most inferior branch of ecc-superior thyroid.
im not sure abt most superior branch of ecc.
pls post the ans if anyone is confirmed of the right ans.

whats the right ans for this question-
whats posterior to azygos vein??
esophagus or thoracic duct??

esophagus
thoracic duct is between the aorta and azygous vein

Thoracic Duct is between esophagus and azygous vein...and so I think the answer should be thoracic duct!! rite ??

esophagus is anterior to the azygos vein!

i am sure that thoracic duct is between the azygous and thoracic aorta. i found it in the deck and Wikipedia.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thoracic_duct

It traverses the diaphragm at the aortic aperture and ascends the posterior mediastinum between the descending thoracic aorta (to its left) and the azygos vein (to its right).

i hope this will help

hai
its still not clear to me yet......i feel thoracic duct could be the ans.just gone through the following website....
accordingly, esophagus is anterior to azygos vein..
let me know the correct ans and explanation.

1)substrate for glucosyltransferase?

2)which nerve fibres travel throughout the course of the lingual nerve to receive sensory input from ant 2/3rds of the tongue??cordatympani.

here they asked sensory, means it may general sensory(lingual),or special sensory(chorda tympani)

3)moving mandible from ICP to most retruded contact position results in-
a)inc in vertical occlusal dimension
b)dec in " " "
c)inc in vertical overlap answer
d)dec in horizontal overlap.
iam not sure about this

c)isopropyl alcohol answer

it dissolves nonpolar and lipophilic substances

correct me if iam wrong

THis doesnt make sense...shouldnt the answer be Trapezius cuz ..correct me if im wrong..doesnt the Spinal Accessory Nerve course thru the SCM (supplying it) and then enters the posterior triangle and supplies while ending in Trapezius...So, if u injure the nerve in POST TRIANGLE (which is after it has supplied the SCM muscle) wouldnt u cause paralysis of trapz..!!!

yes i think trapz should be the answer
you r right
trapzis is answer
(Injury to the spinal accessory nerve in the posterior triangle of the neck results in trapezius paralysis and shoulder dysfunction. The most common etiology is iatrogenic and has been reported extensively in adults. We report 3 cases of spinal accessory nerve injury recognized postoperatively in children and discuss the microsurgical treatment, results, and simple strategies to avoid this complication.)it was given in pediatric article.

answer should be b.ascending loop is hypoosmolar because impermiable to water and sodium will be reabsorbed and from there into the intersttium thats mean in the inner medulla.
