Thoughts on the preliminary/Ty programs, living in Bridgeport, etc? Thanks.

my friends brother was a ty there 2 years ago... he hated the area because it was too quiet for him... though he was from chicago... he thought being close to Manhattan would have its perks... but everyone in his class was married and they tended to stay in and around the hospital.

Anyone have anymore input on this TY/Prelim?

One of my favorites so far but might have been because this year's TY/Prelim's were a fun group to chat with (obviously would be a different group next year). Schedule-wise appeared to be pretty cushy.

anyone have any info about this place?

I'm a current TY resident at St. Vincent's in Bridgeport. I am enjoying my experience here so far. We do 3 ward "floor" months, 1 ICU month, 1 night ICU month, and two weeks of night float. As TY's we get 4 elective months, which is awesome, and we get 4 weeks of vacation (but it has to be taken in 2 week blocks). The floor months are rough but I imagine it's that way at most places.

If you have more specific questions, feel free to send me a PM.
