It seems no one acted on this thread

This may be even more brazen

Here is a recent interview she gave about Bill Cosby
http://www.livescience.com/51562-what-is-somnophilia.html
said Anna Randall, a clinical psychologist and sex therapist who practices in San Francisco and Silicon Valley.

Her site lists no credentialing or education in clinical psychology. Checking her Linkdin page
https://www.linkedin.com/pub/anna-randall-dhs-msw-mph/b/449/31a

Looks like she has a DHS (I needed to check that up - doctorate in human sexuality) from
Institute for the Advanced Study of Sexuality

Definitely not a license-eligible doctorate. It seems, to me, unlikely that the article arbitrarily decided to call her a clinical psychologist. Either way, I think it is her responsibility to correct that error. Additionally, this is another "Dr." that is not licensed at that level.

I dont see that she did anything wrong...her website spells out her credentials quite clearly...livescience made a mistake- that is all I see

In order to file a complaint, you must first verify that the psychologist you wish to file a complaint against is a member of the APA. The APA is a voluntary membership organization and has no jurisdiction over individuals who are not members of our organization and therefore we cannot process complaints against nonmembers.

Trigger Happy? All your postings seem to be about ethical complaints..

A better place to complain (when someone is representing themselves as a psychologist but is not one) is the licensing board for the state in which they practice. That said, I see nothing concerning on this person's website. She uses titles like "therapist" and "sexologist", which are (AFAIK) not protected terms and/or are ones she is allowed to use. The livescience article should be amended, but that's likely not her fault.

It seems like she has somewhat appropriate credentials for what she does and is not claiming to be a psychologist. In other words at least the doctorate is in sexuality and its not like there is another doctorate degree or accredited degree for a sex therapist that I know of. I imagine she might know more about this than me and if I could verify that she was legit and I was in the area, I might even refer. Now the social worker I came across who claims a doctorate in parapsychology is another story altogether unless your patient was being poltergeisted. :nailbiting:

'Parapsychologists' will be the life coaches of the future..
