From my understanding, most schools accept upper level bio courses for their bio requirement. To be absolutely sure though, your best bet is to call the admissions office of the particular schools you're interested in

It depends on how the course is designated in the course title (eg, ENG vs BIO). It won't be assumed that a course with an Engineering prefix, even one with the word Physiology in the title, would be applicable to a school's bio/bio lab expectations. Unless it's listed as BIO, personally, I think you'd be better off taking some upper-level Bio with lab to fulfill the requirement. Even if you categorize the class as BIO on the application, despite it being an engineering class (which is OK to do it the class is >50% Bio), AMCAS may edit it back to read ENG, so it won't even be in the BCPM GPA. Yes, you could appeal the change in designation, but that takes time to straighten out and requires documentation.
