applicant with PhD, low uGPA, no gGPA

That's what I did. GPA didn't improve much, but I was able to get it above 3.00.

SMP I guess, though I don't know if many accept students with <3.00 GPA. This is a problem I had when I was weighing my options last year.


So, he could do what you did, get his GPA above 3.0 and apply (early!). And, if he still has no luck, then attempt a post bacc with his new 3.0?

I'm a URM. ORM with 3.00 doesn't stand a chance.
