I'm working on my application for the 2016 program now. They don't have any personal statement or essay. Does anyone know if this is normal or there is a secondary application?

My response is based on this year's application, maybe they will change it up next year. While they do not have a personal essay/statement, they do have two question prompts. These responses must be between 250-300 words. I'm assuming these questions serve as an opportunity to talk about yourself in a structured way. The two questions this year were: 1) Explain why you seek admission to your program of choice at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and why you have chosen a health care career, and 2) Describe any experience(s) you have had that might impact on your career as an Occupational Therapist.

I believe these responses are probably as important as personal essay/statement because during my interview they asked me about my responses and to expand on my thoughts.

I hope this helps!
