Hi guys,

I need some advice from uni of melbourne students!
I'm a med student in the Uk, and I've got a place to do an elective at the uni of melbourne next summer... specifically, at the Austin & Repatriation hospital.

I was wondering if any students could tell me a bit about the place...ie how far is it from the centre of melbourne? Is it reasonable to commute to melbourne every evening to explore, eat, have fun etc?

What's the hospital / atmosphere like? Are there lots of other medical students there or will i get lonely?! Is there anything worth exploring round Austin?

I've been offered accommodation in the hospital residence there too...has anyone had experience of this? Is it alright?!

Sorry for all the questions but i can't find any answers online... their website is not very helpful!

Cheers!

Pixie :)
