I’m graduating with a bachelor’s from my undergrad school next May, but will not be applying to dental school until next cycle (so June) because I feel like it’s too late for me to take the DAT now and apply for this cycle. Instead of just taking the year off after graduating and before Dental School, I’m thinking about getting an MBA/Masters degree in something else. This way, I won’t “waste” a year, and in case I don’t get into dental school, I have a backup degree. I need some advice finding these types of degrees. Here are some of the things that I’m looking for:
1) Should be a year long (unless I can defer a DS acceptance)
2) Should be able to get me a job pretty quick ~3 months after graduating
3) Should pay me fairly well for an entry-level job ~$60-70,000
I also want to make sure that I can “work up the ladder” after this entry level job and eventually make a lot more from the years of experience.
I know these are a lot of conditions but I’m truly lost and need help navigating my way through.
