I'm a new member to this site, but i am a high school student looking to become a surgeon in Canada, but i am wondering which universitys will allow me to become one. Are there many in Canada? or only a select few, maybe Close to Alberta.

Suegery is one of many specialties. You can become any kind of specialist by going to any medical school in the US or Canada. Before that, you have to do well in undergraduate college/university, and you should pick whichever one is best for you.

Just to reiterate what Smooth said, becoming a surgeon looks like this:

4 years - any reputable college or university in the US or Canada
4 years - any medical school in US or Canada
~5 years - surgery residency in Canada
(maybe) 1-2 years - fellowship in surgical sub-specialty

So, for now, I recommend 2 things for you. 1) Concentrate on college choices. Go where you'll be happy and have the support you need to do very well. 2) Find a surgeon near you who you can talk to and maybe follow around as he/she does some surgeries or visits patients.

PS: If you look directly under your name "OverCloaked," you can see a small line that says "Status: Resident." In the medical world, a resident is someone who has finished medical school and is working in their residency. This does not sound like you. It's considered a faux-pas to have the wrong status. Not trying to be a jerk about it, but it will rub some people the wrong way.

Hahahahah he probably means a resident of the united states from canada
