Short answer, no. Long answer - keep working with using it. Encouraging statements and positive reinforcement when using the interface correctly and gently guide back to using it when the person wakes-up at night to put it back on. Really, no harm, no foul.
If there are other features why the mask is needing to come off, such as feeling air hungry/starved, then a C' report needs to be looked over carefully to see if there is enough pressure being generated to help keep the airway open while asleep but in reality a good review of what's happening in using the device needs to be looked at to ensure there isn't anything being left uncovered.
