Buying a house (home loan) & Federal student loan questions

I am planning on moving away from my current home for Pharmacy school and its ridiculous to rent a place when my mortgage would be half of my rent and I could have a roommate cover costs. My question is, does getting a mortgage before pharmacy school affect getting federal loans + money over for living costs OR VICE VERSA. I know I would need to fill out FAFSA and loan paperwork before looking for a house, I don't know if there is going to be a huge issue.

I imagine you would have to quickly close on the house before taking out loans for school, otherwise it might be hard to get approved because of an increasing Debt to Income ratio. Talk to a bank ASAP and see what they say.
