CA generic substitution law?

In CA, it is my understanding that you do NOT need an orange book AB rating when making a substitution.

So can you substitute Adrenaclick for an EpiPen?
What about Ventolin or Proventil for ProAir?

If insurance covers, then yes, I believe those can be substituted with each other. Make sure to inform the patient about the substitution (and that they are ok with it) and counsel them on how to use the product bc they might work differently (especially if they are used to using the one that is being substituted).
