I was wondering if anyone had a list of Common ICD-9 codes used in pharmacy in California. I work in a busy store and sometimes I am at a loss as to what to put in for the ICD-9 code when doing an electronic TAR on the Medi-CAL website. Please PM me if you have a cheat sheet or list. Thank you.

For diabetes, I want to give you 250.00 and 250.01 but I don't want to deprive you the chance of knowing 250.51 is for "diabetes with eye problem". Sorry, you have to make your own list of codes and pick the code yourself for your specific store then. I will supply the master list. Fair?

(For DIABETES, we often used 250.00 and 250.01. Handy right? until I found the potential codes for DIABETES, now I wonder if I submitted wrong code for DIABETES (there are so many many codes for DIABETES).
What if my patient got eye problem by diabetes? We should have used this 250.51 code.
