Can you compare working for a dental DSO with working as a Primary care Physician in large physician group?

Is corporate dentistry the same thing as what has already happened to medicine. Is this a bad thing?
I know it was more common for primary care physicians to own their own office in the past but now more seem to work as “associates.” Is this what is happening to Dentistry now and should I be concerned as a pre Dent?
