It will say it's a certificate. Would it be correct to assume that you're only interested in becoming an optometrist because of the doctor title? (To answer this question, use introspection to determine whether you would pursue optometry if the degree did not confer the title of doctor.)
If yes to the above question: please choose another profession. We don't need any more optometrists with inferiority complexes. There are easier degrees to gain admission into and complete where you get to call yourself doctor at the end.
If no:
1) There's no need to hang your degrees on the wall.
2) Tell your patients that you studied in another country and the only doctorates that exist in the UK are for research (this includes medicine, dentistry etc.)
