Just a general question as im wondering about the MCAT, how many people actually get a 526 or 527? I know AAMC said about 186,450 people took the MCAT between 2015-2017, but just wondering if anyone knows? I heard somewhere that on average 22 people a year get a 528. Thanks!

It’s amazing how smart some people are. I would kill for a 505 plus lol

If 525 and above is 99.9th percentile, then 186 should be getting 525 or higher. A total of 22 people hitting 528 sounds about right.

524 - 528 make up the 3rd standard deviation at 99.5+%, so around 65,000 test takers a year* 0.005 = 325 people with a 524+ annually. So, likely somewhere around 120 who make 526+
