The < avg sGPA will hurt you for the highly competitive UC schools. You're fine for ANY DO program.

For MD schools, (what's CDU?), add Albany and Loma Linda to the list, but read the student handbook for the latter first.

Try an app cycle and then worry about SMP or post-bac. A SMP with linkage to a med school (such as given by Drexel, TUCOM-CA, TUCOM-NV, Rosy franklin, Georgetown etc) is the best road to travel. these programs are a dime-a-dozen actually.


MD: UCR (favor alumni), CDU, UCD, Tulane, NYMC, Drexel
DO: western, touro ca,/lv/nyc, ccom, ny tech, Pcom, nova, at still, azcom, lecom, dmu, kcumb

What to add/subtract?

Would also like your opinion if I should be doing a Postbacc or SMP...not sure which would be more worthwhile.

I would imagine so. They sometimes take non-UIM students who have shown a validated commitment to a minority community.
