What are my chances at getting into just one med school? I am applying now and have received 12/20 secondaries so far. I'll probably apply to 2 DO schools too.
  1. cGPA: 3.62 (3.52-->3.42-->3.64-->3.82)
BCPM GPA: 3.53 (3.39-->3.24-->3.49-->3.96); I got one C in organic chem lab
    AO GPA: 3.79 (3.79-->3.89-->4.0-->3.63)
  2. MCAT: 31 (10/11/10)
  3. New York resident
  4. I said "Other" because I am adopted from China but was raised in a very white area, so identify more as white. I also may not be fully Asian.
  5. Undergrad at Cornell
  6. Volunteer at Yale-new haven hospital (~80 hours), service trip to Honduras for 4 days, working during my gap year full-time as a medical scribe
  7. Research for 2 summers (800 hours)
  8. Shadowing OBGYN, radiation oncologist, anesthesiologist (~100 hours)
  9. Orientation leader/supervisor
  10. Paid employment since high school, teaching assistant for 3 courses, two of which were major science classes
  11. Dean's list for 6 semesters

School list:
Albany
Albert Einstein
SUNY Buffalo
SUNY Downstate
Drexel
Emory
Georgetown
GW
Jefferson
Loyola
NYMC
Quinnipiac
Stony Brook
Temple
Tufts
Tulane
U of R
Upstate
USC

You have a good list but Emory and USC are reaches for you so remove those. Other schools worth adding include:
Hofstra
Vermont
Penn State
Eastern Virginia
Virginia Commonwealth
Oakland Beaumont
Western Michigan
Medical College Wisconsin
St. Louis
Rosalind Franklin
Creighton

Your chances of getting IIs are good. Your chances of getting accepted are impossible to determine because they're 100% on you.

I recommend:

Miami
St. Louis
Albany
Rochester
Rush (note: very service/experience oriented with a 150hr service requirement. Avg student has 800 hours of community service, and >1800 hours of health care exposure.)

Rosy Franklin
NYMC

MCW
VCU
EVMS
Wake Forest
Jefferson
Temple
Drexel
Creighton
Tulane
Loyola

Uniformed Services University/Hebert (just be aware of the military service commitment)

Any new MD school, except Hofstra and Central MI, FIU, FAU and UCF. I can't recommend CNU.

Any DO program, starting with UNECOM, PCOM and NYITCOM. I can't recommend Touro-NY or LUCOM.

ALL SUNYs

Two ADCOMS responded so not sure why you bumped this thread. If there is additional info you need let us know what it is you are seeking.
