highly unlikely for MD (need a 30). Outstanding for DO.

It is possible for you to get into MD schools. You need to do some research and apply accordingly. Some schools admit students having scores as low as 24 but I guess it also depends on your ECs and other stuff. Some schools also look at the individual scores. Like for e.g if english is your 2nd language and you are a minority, they could probably take that into consideration. Of course, the higher the score, more your chances but don't give up. 26/27 is average score of MD applicants. ANd you don't have to get into the best schools.

28 is the applicant average now. And the matriculant average is 31 approaching 32. 26 is a no go for MD except maybe for a few state schools, or if disadvantaged, URM, or related to a school's donor.
