Hi, I have a question mostly for adcoms on how the change in disadvantaged essay prompt description will change your reading. I had not intended to fill out given the old prompt.
I am white, upper middle class, and attended a suburban public school that does pretty well despite >50% of students receiving free or reduced lunch.
But I was raised by a severely mentally ill parent in a home with a lot of conflict, the vast majority of which was not physical, with some neglect.
I am in a lot of ways advantaged, and had decided not to fill previously. Now that the wording of the prompt has changed, will it change how you see stories like mine?
