Hi guys, just wanted to clear a confusion..
Trachoma: chronic cicatricial conjunctivitis - spreads from eyes to eyes via direct contact - caused by chlamydia trachomatis serotypes A,B, C
Neonatal conjunctivitis: by chlamydia trachomatis D-K. Acquired from passage through birth canals. Erythromycin eye drops for prophylaxis and oral erythromycin for treatment.
Are the serotypes correct? Can neonatal conjunctivitis progress to trachoma??What's the difference between trachoma and follicular conjunctivitis and neonatal conjuncitivitis??
