Hey all, I'm a New York resident in the summer before I attend a New York Dental school. Of course I'm early in deciding, but I like to plan ahead. I am thinking about practicing in either Arizona, Texas or North Carolina.

My question is: What is the most efficient progression in obtaining a license to practice in each of these states.
Do I attend a GPR in NY or the state I wish to practice in? An AEGD? What would you do?

I would appreciate any advice you guys can give.

They each have a dental board with a website that lists their requirements for obtaining a dental license in their state. A residency is not required for any of those states. The WREB exam will cover at least AZ and TX, not sure about NC. I would graduate dental school and pass the required licensing exam and apply for a license.

I thought adex or nerb accepted NC recently? Or maybe that was WREB...
