For the guys/gals in academics - does your institution require a certain # of CME credits per year for reappointment/credentialing purposes? If so, do they provide you with a stipend and/or time off to fulfill these requirements?

Just asking because it seems like my institution is doing an absolutely terrible job of keeping us informed of what is required per year, and then come reappointment time, some admin person is panicking and frantically trying to get this done.

They require the same as the state requirements except you actually have to document proof with every reappointment, unlike the state with it's random audits.
They also have plenty of internal annual and special online training that also needs to be completed, but that is all online.
We get $6000/yr for professional expenses. Meeting time and vacation time are counted the same here, except for people that are involved at the national level who can use additional academic time for meetings.
