I know that screening colonoscopy starts ae 50 and every 10 years after that;
or...

flex sig every 5-10 years

those with family Hx start age 40

Do they increase the frequency of colonoscopy to every 5 years with positive Family Hx?

Yes.

Patients at increased risk (a first-degree relative with colon cancer or advanced adenoma diagnosed at age <60 years, or two first-degree relatives diagnosed at any age) should be advised to have screening colonoscopy starting at age 40 years, or 10 years younger than the earliest diagnosis in their family, whichever comes first. Colonoscopy should be repeated every five years.

Do we need to know these sorts of things for Step 1? Seems like more of a Step 2 question.
