Florida medicare no longer likes the 76942 code for ultrasound guidance. Reading this makes no sense at all. They essentially provide no explanations, only that it is no longer appropriate. Apparently you can only use ultrasound for a knee injection if there is a significant risk of osteomyelitis. WTF.
Any idea on how to fight this? I actually recently got into ultrasound for joint and piriformis injections. It has been great and now they pull this B.S.
