Stats:
Step 1:265
Preclinical- all honors
3rd year- (just one rotation done so far (ENT-hoping i honored it)
Research- 1 poster ( in derm)
Im an M3 who just completed my ENT rotation and really enjoyed it and it has shot up to the top of my list. I know it was my first rotation, and you shouldnt fall in love with the first specialty you see, but I also have a personal history of Head and Neck Cancer in my family that makes the specialty deeply personal for me.
I got to a school with a very strong home oto program.
Im wondering what my next step should be. I know it prob invovles getting more research but isnt it very hard to do research with a busy 3rd year schedule. How important is research to matching in ENT?
