Decent gpa but ridiculous amount of W's and F's. Anyone have similar circumstance?

I've employed throughout my college career a method that would guarantee the highest overall gpa. I've dropped 3 classes and received two F's (most of these I probably could've pulled a C or even low B). Both of the F's I retook with the result of a B and A. The W's have been retaken with similar results. As a result my lowest grade that factors into my 3.65 GPA is a C+ (ochemII, no way in hell i was gonna retake that). My question is, how do you think this will affect my chances of getting into good schools and how should I approach explaining the grades?

OptomCAS will calculate your GPA including the F's.

Hey doesn't Optomcas has a grade forgiveness policy? I read something along those lines on sdn.

According to https://portal.optomcas.org/applicants2012/faq/gpas.shtml

They take the most recent grade in any class taken more than once. However, you still have to document the first grade, it just apparently won't count towards the GPA.
