Does anyone work with a site as a direct contractor? I believe the third party companies charge pharmacies like $100-120 and gives $45-$50 to the pharmacist. So why not be your own contractor and undercut the third party companies and charge $80-$90?

makes sense in practice but hard to do for several reasons:
-1. the contractor has contracts with the site that prevents them from hiring you if you have worked with them,
2. The site would rather hire one company who brings in people and vets them vs them having to go out and search for them, set up contracts, pay them etc.
3. liability insurance is bigger with a 3rd party cmpany
4. bascially if you leave, then have to start all over, they pay for the convience of knowing this company will have a person there and working

If you're academic, you better pick up your practice plan and read it before moonlighting. Outside work usually gets taxed by the university, you're not free to moonlight without a piece of the action given to your main employer.
He’s not academic. Not sure why he posted that on here. Lol
