I’m a 4th year dental student who is highly contemplating applying to orthodontics this application cycle. Before I go all in and commit to taking the GRE and/or ADAT, I need to know how competitive I would be as an applicant and if I even have a shot in making this happen.
I go to a P/F school/no ranking
Did 3 years of research in college, was head lab coordinator and published for that research; no research in dental school however
Held leadership positions for different organizations, none for our ortho interest group
Have done plenty of volunteering, couple missions trips, etc
Doing a GPR
Will have strong letters of recommendations
My CV is very peds-heavy (externships, volunteered at special needs events, etc)
Because I go to a P/F school, will this put me at a disadvantage?
