Hey guys,

So I'm kinda confused on whether or not I should take a gap year. I just finished junior year and my GPA is a 3.66 and sGPA is 3.54. My GPA dropped after a rough semester junior year from 3.75 because I had to work full time due to family financial issues. I only have 30 hours of clinical volunteering and 55 hours of shadowing(30 were of an OT) however, I work in a hospital as a patient care technician and a unit secretary where I worked closely with nurses and doctors. I have over 1,000 hours logged which is why I didn't have time to shadow or volunteer. I also have a second job as a night manager in a restaurant. I'm an executive leader in 1 club and a general member in 2 others. Ive been conducting concussion research on varsity athletes since october 2015 but slow to rise so no publications. I took a service trip last year and I also am in a dance company as a hobby.
I am also trying to apply for the hpsp for the navy (Both my parents were military). I'm URM and I moved from Denmark to America at the age of 8. I'm signed up for the MCAT June 18th but I'm wondering if my stats are even good enough to apply without thinking about the score i'll get on the MCAT? And if I do need a gap year, should I just keep working at the Hospital and retake the MCAT or is there something else that is better for a gap year?

PS. I pay my way through college and pay my own bills so I can only afford to apply to around 10 schools.

is it too late to apply rotc?
