Starting to study for Step 3. I'm using MTB + UW for the MCQ portion. For the CCS portion do people usually use a prep source or just go through the sample cases available online?
The software is weird.... I can't recall if the stuff provided by USMLE includes a a simulated software session or not. If not, invest in UWorld's-- I didn't find it very intuitive and you don't want your first experience to be in the exam itself. If they have a sim one for free then that's prob fine.
The official materials do include the CCS and software and several sample cases, well worth doing. This is sufficient to familiarize yourself with the software and prevent being dumbfounded on test day. If you want to "study" for the CCS, then the UW CCS module includes plenty of a example cases with the same CCS software for more practice.
