does the admission committee look heavily on 1st yr GPA?

hey guys! I didn't do too hot in 1st yr science, 78% overall. I am worried that the admission committe may look down at it, since I notice optometry admission process is largely based on GPA unlike med school appliaction. I am kinda worried about it.

does the admission committee look heavily on 1st yr GPA?

does the admission committe look at my summer course grades?

78% is really good for first year! dont worry
i only had 74-75%
just do better in 3rd,4th year and you're good to go
as long as you show an improvement over the years, there is no problem
