Go for it. A Ph.D. in Clinical/Counseling psychology from a reputable and appropriately accredited (e.g., APA; CPA) institution will provide you with a lot of options for a professionally and personally (including financially) fulfilling career. Best of luck to you. Recognize that it'll take a bit of work and there are no short cuts, but if we did it so can you!
