I want to send an e-mail to my local state school about taking summer courses. Their website doesn't say they won't accept them just that they recommend not taking summer courses to be more competitive. I want to take orgo I and II next summer so I can take biochem I and II the following fall and spring semesters because biochem II is only offered every other spring with Orgo as a pre-req at my school.
My question is should I explain the whole situation in my e-mail and include my undergrad institution (the med and my undergrad school have a good relationship) or just ask the general question of whether or not a few summer courses will very negatively impact admissions chances?
