I see a lot of people posing about applying early and how important it is, but the most important thing is being complete early, right? So If I'm lets say complete at a school July 20-July 25, would that still be considered early? Or is that just normal? I'm trying to see if it would be wise to just finish all my secondaries before August or if it doesn't matter if I submit some mid August vs like now.

Yes, it is important to be complete early, not just submit AMCAS early. If you submit AMCAS day 1 but don't get your secondaries in until August, you're in no better position than someone who submitted AMCAS in July, verified in August, and immediately turned around secondaries. You want to submit AMCAS early so you're verified early and can get your secondaries in early and therefore be complete early.

But to answer your question, being complete in late July is considered early. You're good. Being complete in mid-August isn't late either.

1) If by "complete" you mean that all supplemental materials are submitted to each school (Secondary, LORs, pics, requested documents, etc.), then yes.

2) IMO, if you are Complete (by my definition) by August 1, you are early. If by Sept 1, then you are average.

Yes, that's exactly what I meant by complete. I submitted my primary June 28, verified July 21, and am now complete at 10 or so schools so i'm hoping to finish all secondaries by end of July. I just wanted to know if it was going to make a difference and if I would still be considered early like those peeps that submitted on day 1.
