Anyone pass or know of someone who passed a state deadline for completing the USMLE sequence in a certain number of years? Did they have to repeat the sequence? What happens with ECFMG certification?
If they have to repeat the sequence does the new USMLE retake limit apply to retakes due to meeting state licensing requirements? Each state as their own limit of attempts and years to complete the sequence.
ECFMG certificate obtained many years ago within 7 year time limit, passed USMLE Step 1, 2, CS/CK and graduated medical school. Currently in 7th year to take USMLE Step 3. Completed one year of residency - successfully in one state. In second residency program now (they are asking me to repeat my intern year in the same specialty)
