Assuming that a vehicle slides to a stop without brake or tire failure, which of the following is NOT true?

A. A heavy truck will require more room to stop than an economy car
B. The number of wheels on a vehicle does not change the time needed to stop it
C. Acceleration is constant until the vehicle stops.
D. A greater kinetic coefficient of friction means a shorter stopping time

Why is the answer A? If it's a bigger car, won't it take longer to come to rest because it has more inertia?

yes it has more inertia, but it is also heavier and so the frictional force is going to be larger.

i assume the answer is b?

and that, ladies and gents, is why the mcat is going to kill me dead. i don't know why i become illiterate all of a sudden on so many of these problems...
