"electives" pre-reqs???

So I just finished my summer Chem I course and it was my first pre-req thus far (and i got an A! a thankyou!). I started signing up for next semester courses and I signed up for Bio I, Chem II, and i didnt get into Phys I! I will try to get in during drop/ad, but if i dont i will take an elective. I want to take either genetics, medicinal chem, or anatomy.

My question is: Is there pre-reqs for taking medicinal chem or genetics?? I just dont want to go in to the classes without proper science background.

Please let me know if any of yall have done this!

You have to check with your school. My school wants you to have bio 1 and chem 1 as pre-reqs for their genetics course. Some schools may let you take it since you are concurrently enrolled in Bio 1 and you have chem 1 already. Call the instructor of the class and ask.
