Hi guys,
I simply can't figure out one small part in Embryology and it is the Mesoderm layer!
Before the gastrulation we have an Amnion and a Yolk sac inside the Chorion, both are lined at that time by the extraembryonic mesoderm. After the gastrulation and the invasion of the mesoderm between the ectoderm and the endoderm and the division of it, we get the lateral mesoderm.
The lateral mesoderm than divides into the visceral and lateral layer.
--- So far I understand this stuff.
But at which point does the visceral and lateral layer - fuse ?, line ? or replace ? the extraembryonic mesoderm?
I don't understand that point bcs after the lateral and craniocaudal folding the extraembryonic mesoderm is gone.
Thanks!
