ENT job prospects

What are the job prospects for ENT? Through searches on this forum and reddit, and looking at job postings online (in Canada) it looks hard to find a job in a desirable location. I have heard however, of hospitals where you have done your residency hiring internally (and thus wouldnt have job posting), is this true and how common is this? Also what fellowships are the best/worst for job demand?
