F1 OPT Visa Steps

Hi forum,

I'm trying to find some information on F1-OPT since my school has never processed one before, and don't have information on it. I'm kinda hitting walls here in the process, and would really appreciate if anyone can help me out!! I'm a Canadian student in the US, graduating in a month and a half, and would like to work in the US.

So far, I have:
- Completed I-765 online, and submitted the payment
- Received an interview date from USCIS (what happens here?)
- Received an Endorsed I-20 from school **
- Pending: haven't sent in supporting documents to USCIS

** Now this is where the problem lies. My school gave me an "endorsed I-20"...but it looks EXACTLY like the one from when I first started school, except for purpose which states "continued attendance at this school."

Any help/tips/suggestions would be great! Thanks

You may want to ask your international service to change the I-20 to make it say something like endosed for OPT or something like that
