First Academic Quartile

So I am reviewing my preliminary MSPE and it says "Bobdabuilda14 is in the 1st academic quartile."

As you will be able to assess with this post, i am not very savvy with this here number gibberish; so i looked up first quartile on google at it states that is the 25% percentile and that 75% of the students have surpassed me?

At most schools, the 1st quartile is the top 25%. Some schools label them the other way, where the 4th quartile is the top and the 1st quartile is the bottom. It shouldn't be hard to figure out whether you're in the top or bottom quartile based upon your grades -- if you have mostly Honors / A's / 95+ / whatever the top grade is, then you're in the top quartile.
